I'm Berta! I am a furball of love, joy, and happiness and have quite a personality. I've been told I'm charismatic and professional, traits I've perfected over many years. My favorite role is being a loyal sidekick to Kim’s son Christian, a terrific young man that uses a wheelchair. ♿

My work isn't just fetching and retrieving objects for Christian—although I'm a pro. It's about making sure he feels as independent as possible. I trained hard to become a service dog 🐕‍🦺 at Canine Companions in Santa Rosa, CA, and every day, I strive to use what I've learned to make Christian's life a little brighter.

I call Chico, CA, my home, and I live there with a family I adore. When I'm not busy helping out, I have a bit of a reputation as a foodie—I'll eat anything I can wrap my paws 🐾 around. Every other week, I go to the groomer for a fluff and come home smelling like a delicious mix of apple and cinnamon oatmeal.
